Welcome to the Internal Medicine practice of Doctors Emde and Nieman. We have been providing high quality Internal Medicine services to patients in Stillwater and Northern Oklahoma since 1999. The practice of Internal Medicine includes the care of adults and geriatric patients. Internists are specially trained to diagnose and treat complex medical diseases and syndromes. Internists are considered primary care physicians, and help coordinate your medical care. We offer diagnostic medical services, ongoing care of chronic medical problems, treatment of acute medical illnesses, and preventative care.
Dr. Emde is also board-certified in Sleep Medicine. This subspecialty includes the diagnosis and treatment sleep apnea, insomnia, and other sleep disorders. We have a full Sleep Lab at Stillwater Medical Center and are able to do all diagnostic studies there.
We provide personal care and attention for the health care of our patients. We treat most medical problems in our office, and we'll guide you through the world of referrals and medical specialties when necessary. We believe the continuity of care is important, so you will be seen by a single provider. Our practice is attuned to the needs of our patients. We realize that some of our patients are older, and have complex medical problems. Your phone call will be answered by our trained staff. We provide 24-hour emergency coverage. We take time to be comprehensive, we will review your medication list regularly, and we will review all correspondence received from consultants.
We utilize the services of Stillwater Medical Center. The hospital provides excellent inpatient and outpatient services. Both physicians use the services of the Stillwater Medical Center hospitalists. The hospitalists are Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physicians who specialize in inpatient care. This allows us to concentrate on your long-term care. The hospitalists communicate with us on a regular basis. We offer most lab services from our office. We also offer pulmonary function testing, EKGs, and other office based testing. X-rays and radiology studies are done Stillwater Medical Center.
